***NEW*** Technology is changing the way students can find a class. Go to the American Heart Association Class Locator and they can find you to schedule a class or sign up for one you have already scheduled. If you can't find you on this new technology it means I have not entered you yet. It is time consuming for us to get the data in there, but well worth it once it is available to the public. ***NEW*** Inquire about the Challenge ACLS Course ***NEW*** Healthcare Provider, Heartsaver and ACLS programs ONLINE Students Schedule an appointment for skills checkoff Let TC Coordinator know if you want to be referred for this service ***NEW*** Paperwork is posted with new logo If you have problems printing them let us know ***NEW*** In order for Training Centers to show they are ensuring quality of all AHA programs Training Site Reviews have been designed to meet this new requirement of AHA. They will need to be performed every two years prior to a Training Site Agreement renewal. A Training Center Faculty or Regional Faculty are the only designated individuals who can perform this type of review. If you have not set up a time for your Training Site Review or you do not know who to contact in your area please contact our office for more information.
Here are some items on the Checklist during a Training Site Review Click here to print Training Site Review 2009 Is the equipment decontamination process followed? Is there a secure area for exams? Process for tracking student numbers per class followed? Is training equipment in good working condition?
***Reminders*** Please forward your training schedules to us so we can post on the website and communicate to your community when you will be having classes.
Reminder to get your rosters sent to the TC within 30 days of course. Let students know when to expect their cards.
If you are waiting to be paid for the course let them know the delay time in advance so the TC Coordinator does NOT receive inquiries as to where their cards are when they have not been sent to the TC for distribution.
What is new with AHA Guidelines: Hands-Only CPR Please go to theAHA Instructor Network to get the lesson maps to add this vital information into your AHA training. Agonal Gasps is not Breathing and we need to state this during the airway lesson. This information is also on the AHA Instructor Network.
***Please notify the TC Coordinator if you have an email address or if it has changed so it can be forwarded to AHA. You will receive an email from AHA asking you if you wish to participate in this type of communication. It is your choice to receive communication from AHA. The eventual goal is for potential students being able to access instructors contact information and teaching locations.
***Quality Assurance*** If you have an issue or concern related to the Quality of AHA Programs please contact your Training Center Faculty or Regional Faculty immediately. If you do not know who this individual is or you are not able to contact them please contact Karen Merback at Healthy U Educators for more information. karenmerback@healthyueducators
