This course is designed to aid the pediatric healthcare provider in developing the knowledge and skills necessary to efficiently and effectively manage critically ill infants and children, resulting in improved outcomes.

Target Audience:  Designed to assist the following healthcare providers;  pediatrician, emergency physician, family physician, physician assistant, nurse practitioner, registered nurse, paramedic and other healthcare providers whoinitiate and direct advaced life support in a pediatric emergency.

Online Skills Check:  $75 

Classroom 

Must have complete preassessment exam, current BLS for Healthcare Provider card.  Contact the Training Center Coordinator or Training Site Coordinator for the availability of checkout prepacket, PALS provider book and PALS Guidebook.   All students must be able to identify basic ECG rhythms, PALS medications and dosages and algorithms for PALS prior to attending this course.

Initial and Renewal students will need to pass a skills checklist as they rotate through the following skills stations:  Respiratory Skills Station, IV & IO Access Skills Station, CPR-AED Skills Station, PALS Pharmacology and ECG Skills Station  All students will be allowed to practice megacodes prior to skills testing and written exam.

Online Skills Test

Must have online PALS certificate of completion and current BLS for Healthcare Provider card.  Contact Training Center Coordinator or Training Site Coordinator to set up a skills  test.
